Testimonials and Articles
“We feel so lucky to have found Mari Caulfield six years ago. She has made an amazing difference in our lives. When we first went to see Mari, I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do to help my son. I was learning about autism, but wasn’t sure what the right approach was for us.
Through using and educating us about DIR/Floortime, Mari has empowered me as a mother, and helped by son to flourish beyond what I had imagined possible. Mari’s approach is warm, positive, respectful and clear, and the results have been remarkable. I couldn’t believe how quickly my son made progress, and how beautifully my relationship with my son has changed.
Jamie has grown into a wonderful, thriving boy and we have Mari to thank. It is such a great experience working with Mari and I wholeheartedly recommend her.”
“My son has made significant progress in all areas of his development, socially, emotionally and cognitively. I believe this to be due to the holistic approach that Mari takes. She looks at the whole child, and focuses on his/her various needs and strives to enable the parent to help their child. The team are always happy to work with other professionals involved in working with our son, such as teachers, psychologists and occupational therapists which ultimately has benefitted our son greatly.”
“Mari has also been instrumental in bringing leading speech and language therapists, psychologists and occupational therapists from the USA to Galway to share their expertise with the families of disabled children in the West of Ireland. I commend her for this and I would strongly recommend her to other parents of children with disabilities. She has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Daniel had certain speech difficulties such as mixing up initial letters e.g. saying dop instead of stop. This meant that other people had difficulty understanding what he was saying. This was also frustrating for Daniel as he was at the stage where he liked to talk to other adults and children. The clinic was very positive and child-friendly from the outset. Initially the therapist assessed Daniel’s speech and prioritised the issues. Through pictures, exercises, games and other fun activities both at the Clinic and at home, she helped us focus on particular speech issues and helped Daniel become clearer in his speech. The improvement was readily noticeable. Mari provided a first class service in assessing and addressing Daniels speech difficulties. We are very grateful for her professional and considerate manner in improving Daniels language skills at a key stage in his development.”
Patient approach to communicating – (Newspaper Article)
Mari believes a little more patience and understanding from the wider population can make it easier for those with communication challenges to lead an independent life. She wants to see a greater understanding within society of
the “communication environment”.
